Administrator Help: Login/Logout
Logging On
It is necessary to log on to the system to identify yourself,
and to establish the fact that you have permission to perform certain
administrative actions. While you are logged in, the computer uses some
"cookies" to remember your status - these are not harmful, and are
deleted when you log off. These are the steps to get logged on.
- Go to main menu (www.sk8stuff.com),
scroll all the way down to bottom, find "(admin)" at lower left and click on
it.
- You are taken to an Administration screen that has an
area entitled "Login/Logout" on it. Click the
"Login/Logout" link.
- Type your username and password in appropriate boxes on
the displayed form,
then hit the "Logon" button.
- After you are logged in, you'll see the Administrative
Menu screen again, with additional entries. At the upper right, it will say
"Logged in as (XXX)". If it doesn't, you didn't really get logged
on.
Logging Off
Please don't forget to Log Off when you are done
administrating. Just return to the Logon/Logoff screen and hit the
"Log Off" button.
Auto Logoff
Please be aware that if you don't do anything for about 20 minutes, you'll be
logged off anyhow. If you are inactive for too long while you INTEND to
stay logged in, you might find that it says "you are unauthorized to
perform that function" when you return and try to update or add
something. Just return to the login screen and log in again.
By the way, Thanks!
Really, thanks so much for helping out in this way. This site can be of
great help to skaters nationwide. You are now part of the team that makes
it great. Please remember to use your capabilities responsibly to pass
along only verified factual information - not opinions, not rumors, not
"I'm pretty sure"s -- we want everyone to feel confidence that what
they read here is true and accurate. Your contributions will be
appreciated by lots of skaters, parents, pros, and officials.
