Special EGLR Information

The Birmingham Figure Skating Club will be holding a non-qualifying competition in conjunction with the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships for Preliminary Freeskating, Pre-Juvenile Freeskating, Open Juvenile Freeskating, Pre-Juvenile Dance and Pre-Juvenile Pairs.

The registration deadline for the non-qualifying competition is August 15, 2001.

It has come to our attention that several clubs in the Eastern Great Lakes region have scheduled test sessions between August 15-31 that would cause several skaters who wish to compete in the competition to miss the test requirements by the August 15 deadline.  For those skaters who fall into this category we would ask you to do the following:

  1. Please submit your entry form and fees by the August 15, 2001 deadline with a note attached to the entry form stating when you plan to test.
  2. Take the test verification form (that is available on the Birmingham FSC web site: www.BhamFSC.com) to the test session with you and once you have passed your test have the test chairman sign the completed test verification form.
  3. Please fax this form to Shelia Lyle at (205) 970-1748 as quickly as possible so that the competition committee can continue to process your application. This form must be received NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 1, 2001 OR YOUR ENTRY WILL BE WITHDRAWN.
  4. In the event you do not pass the test and are unable to compete in the competition, a refund will be issued, minus a $20 processing fee.
  5. If you have any questions about this please contact Shelia Lyle at (205) 969-2902 or email her at Shelia@BhamFSC.com.
