Pairs Elements - Group 2 Lifts

Group 2 lifts are known as "Hand-to-Waist Hold Lifts".   Common lifts in this group include the Loop Lift, and Twist Lifts.

Takeoff - Double Twist Lift Air position - double twist lift Double Twist Lift
Danielle and Steve Hartsell / Detroit SC

These pictures show takeoff and air positions for a double twist lift.  The entry position and  hand holds are similar to the loop lift, except that in a twist lift, the lady rides an LBO edge then picks with her right foot just prior to takeoff.  The man releases the lady in the air, and she rotates one or more times (she may execute a split prior to the turns).  The twist lift shown here is a double twist with split.  No matter how many times the lady rotates, the man rotates a half-revolution and catches her before she lands.
