Small Jumps - Russian Split

The Russian Split takes off and lands like the Split Jump, but the air position is modified.  In a Russian Split, the skater's face and body are perpendicular to the direction of travel.  Her legs are extended out in a V position, and her hands reach out to touch her toes.  Imagine sitting on the floor and doing toe-touch exercises with your legs spread wide.  That's the basic air position.

This is a spectacular jump, and can reach great heights when done well.
